Board Approved Supervisor Training

STREAM Psychology is a Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) approved training provider.

 

Board registered psychologists who wish to achieve Board Approved Supervisor Status (BAS) must complete a sequential 3-part approved supervisor training program in order to provide supervision for provisional psychologists who are completing 4+2, 5+1 internships or higher degree placements, or psychologists undertaking a registrar program (Area of Practice Endorsement-AoPE).

To maintain BAS as a supervisor, psychologists must undertake a Part 4 (Masterclass) 6 hour face to face training program every five years to update skills and knowledge. All psychologists wishing to undertake the BAS training must meet the eligibility criteria for PsyBA approval.

• Part 1: Knowledge assessment -  An online course delivering the knowledge of the competencies required of a Board approved supervisor.

• Part 3: Competency-based assessment  - An assessment of the skills required of a supervisor through audio-visual and written submissions.
